Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and conduct experiments to assist with analytical requests from other STEMCELL departments, including analyzing data and summarizing conclusions in detailed technical reports

Identify gaps in analytical capabilities and develop new analytical methods for characterizing nanoparticles, polymers and proteins to assist with ongoing projects, and support transfer of new methods to other teams

Assist in developing strategies to improve nanoparticle formulations and synthesis conditions for STEMCELL products

Present data and conclusions at team meetings with collaborators and stakeholders from other business areas
Knowledge and Qualifications

PhD degree in Chemistry or a related field, or MSc with at least 4 years of relevant industrial experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of experience

Practical experience with analytical assays and instruments for studying nanoparticles, as well as material and surface characterizations (e.g. particle sizing techniques, ICP-MS, QCM-D, Raman spectroscopy)

Experience developing new analytical methods and troubleshooting instruments

Strong background in statistical analyses and interpreting experimental data, including experience presenting data to groups and writing reports for broader audiences

Strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively are highly desirable

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$78,640.00 - $118,000.00
STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
