(SAP) Senior Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic (SAP) Business Systems Analyst to join our nimble Business Systems team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance and enhancements of SAP S/4HANA system. You will partner with business process owners, IT professionals, and cross-functional analysts to support the process and data needs across the organization. You will leverage your deep understanding of SAP backend processes and configuration to optimize our financial, procurement, and manufacturing operations.

How you might spend your days: 

• Configuring, maintaining, and enhancing SAP S/4HANA modules, including one or more of Materials Management (MM) and/or Production Planning (PP)
• Partnering with IT and business teams to design, implement, and integrate new capabilities and functionality within our Business Applications suite, particularly focusing on SAP within the broader landscape of systems
• Acting as an SAP subject matter expert, evaluating and driving improvements to business-critical processes and data through our cross-functional architecture group
• Contributing to cross-functional project teams as a SAP technical expert to support the full lifecycle of software implementation
• Partnering with business data owners to investigate and remediate data quality issues; taking ownership for process and system improvements to prevent repeat events
• Planning, testing, and executing SAP system updates to maintain system availability and enable new capabilities
• Collaborating with audit & quality teams to evaluate, test, and maintain SAP modules to meet our compliance needs

We’d love to hear from you if:

• You have a proven ability to thrive in uncertain environments, a strong willingness to adapt to shifting project priorities, and a motivation to find innovative, creative, and right-sized solutions for business requirements
• You have 5+ years’ experience as a (SAP) Business Systems Analyst, Application Analyst, Software Developer, SAP Analyst, or in a related role, plus a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics)
• You have demonstrated consistent technical experience configuring and maintaining SAP S4/HANA modules (MM, FI/CO, QM, PP); experience supporting and maintaining other SAP products, such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Analytics Cloud, or Signavio would be desirable
• You have significant experience working cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment including effectively communicating with stakeholders, setting clear and reasonable expectations, and working together to achieve progress
• You have experience evaluating, documenting, and testing business requirements against newly developed features and capabilities
• You have previous experience or an interest in the Biotechnology, Pharma, or Life Sciences industry, experience with or exposure to a GMP or SOX regulated organization would be an asset
• You have either familiarity with or interest in learning Analytics, Business Intelligence, ETL, Data Warehousing tools and practices, Integration Platforms as a Service (particularly Dell Boomi), or spend management applications such as Coupa or Ariba

What we offer:

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $79,500 - $99,400 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
