Job Summary:

Central 1 is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting our Business Development Executive (BDE) throughout the full sales lifecycle — from lead qualification to internal coordination and client onboarding.

This dynamic, client-facing role is also a key internal liaison, requiring strong communication, initiative, and project management skills. You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across the organization to ensure business development activities are executed smoothly and align with internal processes.

What you'll be doing:

Sales & Lead Management

  • Conduct initial qualification of inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, readiness, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Proactively engage with prospects via phone, email, and other channels to understand their needs and introduce relevant solutions.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lead status, qualification outcomes, and next steps in CRM systems.

Sales Process Support

  • Support the BDE in managing the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, documentation, and internal coordination.

  • Track the status of client engagements and in-flight activities, providing regular updates and insights to the BDE and other stakeholders.

  • Assist in preparing client-facing materials using pre-approved decks, templates, and data sources.

Internal Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between the BDE and internal departments to facilitate deal progression and ensure compliance with internal standards:

  • Risk & Compliance – for regulatory and due diligence requirements.

  • Credit Union Lending – for collateral and pre-funding coordination.

  • Operations – for payment setup and delivery.

  • Information Security – for assessing client needs and risk.

  • Product & Technology – for solution alignment and technical validation.

Project & Process Management

  • Monitor requirements and internal workflows to ensure timely execution of tasks and deliverables.

  • Identify bottlenecks or delays and escalate as needed to maintain momentum in the sales process.

  • Support the BDE in managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide clear, concise, and timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prepare status reports, meeting notes, and follow-up documentation to support transparency and accountability.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by documenting best practices and process improvements.

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned to support operational objectives.

What you'll have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales support, business development, or client-facing role.

  • Demonstrated comfort and effectiveness in outbound calling and prospecting.

  • Strong initiative and a natural hunter mindset with a high level of curiosity.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple internal relationships.

  • Basic analytical skills, including comfort with Excel and interpreting data to support client conversations.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience providing status updates and maintaining visibility into project or client progress.

Preferred:

  • Experience responding to or coordinating RFPs or structured sales proposals.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

  • Exposure to payments, financial services, or technology-driven and/or Fintech environments (not required but beneficial).

Salary range: $63,000-$75,000
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
