Being a Dialer
At Dialpad, you’ll be part of a collaborative team working toward our shared mission of making our customers and their employees wildly successful. We believe that every conversation matters, and we're elevating each one with a platform that drives real-time insights and automation for our customers.
We thrive on continuous evolution, where every employee leverages industry-leading AI to constantly refine our platform and our own skills. We seek individuals who not only meet our high standards but go beyond them. Our ambition is significant, and achieving it requires a team that operates at the highest level. We look for individuals who are not just ambitious but who also possess the traits that are fundamental to our success: Scrappy, Curious, Optimistic, Persistent, and Empathetic.

Your Role
As a Sales Engineer I at Dialpad, you’ll be the technical heartbeat of our Sales team. Your job is to take our cutting-edge AI-powered communication platform and make it "click" for our customers. You don’t need to be a career network engineer to start. We are looking for someone who is tech-curious, people-oriented, and ready to learn the "Brawn and Brains" of our global architecture.

What You’ll Do

  • The Master Storyteller: Lead 2-3 product demonstrations a day, showing small business owners how Dialpad solves their specific communication headaches.
  • The Pilot: Own the "Proof of Concept" phase, helping customers set up their first office phone systems and test out our industry-leading AI features.
  • The Trusted Advisor: Partner with Account Executives to answer technical questions and act as a bridge between the customer’s needs and our technology.
  • The Student: Dive into our training program to become an expert in Dialpad's cutting-edge AI technology and cloud telephony, including learning how our unique infrastructure ensures high-quality calls globally.
  • The Problem Solver: Use specialized tools to help customers optimize their office Wi-Fi and network settings to ensure their "HD Voice" experience is flawless.

Skills You’ll Bring

  • 1-2 Years of People Experience: You’ve worked in a customer-facing role (Sales, Account Management, or Support) and you genuinely enjoy working with and helping people.
  • Technical Curiosity: You’re the person your friends and family call when they can’t get their Wi-Fi to work or want to know which phone to buy. You have a "tinkerer" mindset.
  • Communication Clarity: You can explain a complex idea (like why a phone call needs a "split-tunnel" VPN) in a way that your less-technical friends can easily understand.
  • Cloud Comfort: You are proficient with modern tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and understand why the world is moving to the cloud.
  • Adaptability: You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can jump from a demo to a troubleshooting session without breaking a sweat.
