Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain target account and contact lists using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and our CRM.
- Research prospects so outreach is specific rather than generic: industry, data maturity, recent news, likely pain points.
- Run outbound outreach by email, LinkedIn, and phone, following sequences you help write and improve.
- Qualify inbound leads from the website, webinars, and content downloads, and route them quickly.
- Book discovery calls for senior consultants and prepare a short brief before each one.
- Keep the CRM clean: log every activity, update records, flag data quality problems.
- Report weekly on outreach sent, replies, meetings booked, and what you are learning from the market.
Must Have:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, economics, or a related field, or equivalent capability.
- Strong written communication: you can write a short, clear email a busy executive would actually answer.
- Comfortable picking up the phone and starting a conversation with someone you have never met.
- Curious, self-directed, and organized enough to manage a few hundred accounts without losing track.
- Resilient about rejection. Most outreach gets no reply; the job is to keep quality high anyway.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.
Nice to have:
Prior sales, customer service, or recruiting experience; exposure to a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce) or sales engagement tool (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo); genuine interest in data and AI.
Compensation - $23/hour
