Advisors at some of the biggest banks across North America are winning trust by using CapIntel to easily compare investments and create compelling, educational presentations. Ultimately, we're focused on investors getting better service, understanding their investments, and feeling at ease knowing their future is secure.

Since launching in 2019, CapIntel has seen rapid adoption and industry recognition, earning top placements in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Canada and Fast 500 North America in 2025, ranking us among the fastest-growing technology companies. To support this momentum, we’re growing our team rapidly—investing in people who drive innovation at scale to expand our impact across the North American wealth management industry.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to own and scale how CapIntel recognizes, reports, and operationalizes revenue as our company grows. CapIntel is a leading SaaS platform helping financial professionals deliver better advice. This is a hands-on, technical role with full ownership of SaaS revenue recognition: contract review, billing logic, month-end close, metrics, and audit readiness.

You’ll be the subject matter expert for SaaS revenue recognition and Maxio, ensuring our revenue data is accurate, compliant, automated, and trusted across Finance, RevOps, FP&A, Sales, and Customer Success. This role is critical to strengthening our financial foundation and enabling confident decision-making as we scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Own revenue recognition under Canadian accounting standards (ASPE) for SaaS subscription, usage-based, and professional services revenue
  • Lead revenue workflows in Maxio, ensuring it is the source of truth for billing and revenue recognition
  • Review customer contracts and order forms
  • Own the monthly revenue close, including journal entries, reconciliations, deferred revenue schedules, and flux analysis
  • Partner with RevOps and FP&A to align revenue across actuals, forecasts, and SaaS metrics
  • Improve documentation, controls, and audit trails related to revenue processes
  • Prepare revenue-related schedules for internal reviews, tax filings, and external audits
  • Manage commodity tax compliance and filings (GST/HST/QST), and support cross-border tax considerations in collaboration with external advisors
What We’re Looking For
  • Several years of experience as a Revenue Accounting Manager or similar role in a SaaS or technology environment, with hands-on ownership of revenue recognition and reporting
  • CPA designation is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Maxio and revenue automation tools, including workflow design and process optimization
  • Proven ownership of SaaS revenue recognition, including subscriptions, usage-based revenue, and professional services
  • Strong understanding of SaaS revenue metrics (ARR, CARR, deferred revenue) and the quote-to-cash lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience managing commodity tax compliance (GST/HST/QST); exposure to US compliance and cross-border tax issues is an asset
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and automation tools
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills; able to translate complex financial data for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across Finance, RevOps, Sales, Legal, and CX
  • Comfortable operating in a scaling, evolving environment, with a process-oriented and detail-focused approach
Bonus Experience
  • Multi-entity and multi-currency revenue accounting
  • Experience supporting system implementations or enhancements
  • Experience with Xero is an asset
The Interview Process
  • Round 1: 30-minute video interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
  • Round 2: 60-minute video interview with the Accounting team
  • Round 3: Take-home assessment + 60-minute presentation to a panel of cross-functional stakeholders
