We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Return to Work Coordinator to join our People team in Langley, BC.

This temporary position is expected to last 18 months.

Reporting to the Manager, Disability, you will coordinate and facilitate return to work plans, working closely with store management, union representatives, team members, insurers, and rehabilitation professionals.   

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and facilitating return to work plans with store management, team members, WCB and insurance carriers.
  • Monitoring return to work programs to ensure successful workplace reintegration.
  • Regularly reviewing claims files and reports to track return to work progression.
  • Mediating solutions to complex return to work plans.
  • Verifying the accuracy of claims and resolving discrepancies.
  • Responding to inquiries and following through on queries and issues.
  • Providing administrative support to the Disability team.  
  • Reviewing and understanding employment/labour legislation, and the British Columbia and Alberta Human Rights Codes.

You have:

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in disability claims management. 
  • A post-secondary education in Human Resources (considered an asset). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
  • Knowledge and training in mental health and familiarity with medical terminology. 
  • Experience with Workday and ServiceNow (considered an asset). 
  • Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation (considered an asset).

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.  
  • Capable of handling sensitive information with tact and confidentiality. 
  • An effective communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.  
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

Compensation Details:

$52,880.00 - $66,100.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
