We are currently seeking a Full-Time Regional BC Sales Representative to join our team based out of our Richmond, BC location. The Regional BC Sales Representative will manage and grow all our sales and marketing efforts within the Gordon Food Service broadline business as well as engage directly with Gordon Food Service customers.

Position: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: From $80,000-100,000 per year, plus bonus & car allowance

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic thinking, relentless attitude and  commitment to sales activity - the successful candidate will maintain current relationships as well as develop a strategic plan to seek out new business that would complement the division’s sales team.

  • Identify opportunities for total category growth through analysis and sales insights.

  • Provide support to the Gordon Food Service Produce team.

  • Source & analyze sales trends to provide a demand plan (forecast) that will effectively reduce shorts and improve overall service levels.

  • Collaboratively work with internal departments, in particular with Product Development & Operations.

  • Respectfully represents the best interests of Fresh Start Foods in all internal and external dealings.

  • Exhibit professionalism with clients and enforce the Climate Goals.

  • Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Manage the financial performance of customers to meet the needs of Fresh Start Foods.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales Leadership – Demonstrate passion in your message, impeccable follow up skills and textbook accurate sales processes.

  • Sales experience from food and beverage/food service industry is strong asset.

  • Captivate your audience with your outstanding presentation style.

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline preferred, or other job related or equivalent business experience.

  • Demonstrated a portfolio of Marketing Leadership, including market analysis with strategic outcomes, promotions with proven ROI, pricing management that provides the best sales/profit ratio and creativity that is unique and groundbreaking.

  • Able & willing to travel (within BC up to 20% of year).

  • Thorough knowledge and ongoing awareness of current sales and business development concepts and practices.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word).

  • Effective communication in an open and direct manner; conveys information clearly and concisely, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • A valid driver’s license, vehicle and ability to travel as required.
