Job Responsibilities:
- To assist in development and implementation of all Quality System requirements for:
- Existing Product Lines.
Quality Improvements
Engineering Changes
- New Product Launches
Control Plans for pre-production phases including prototypes
Tooling Capability studies
Setting Key characteristics (process & product)
Checking Fixture certifications and Inspection techniques
All aspects of Production Part Approval Process.
- Respond to customer complaints and take appropriate measures to resolve current matter and to prevent reoccurrence
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer corrective and preventative actions in a timely manner.
- Identify needs and initiate training to Production and Quality Assurance personnel for product development and inspection procedures as required.
- Monitor and report out Key Performance Indicators and initiate appropriate action if gaps are identified
- Dimensionally check/certify, maintain, and calibrate in accordance to part print or appropriate drawing using the Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (Direct Computer Controlled) or other conventional measuring techniques:
- First/Last off, Production Validation, PPAP Assemblies - First/Last off, Production Validation, production Fixtures, Die Models, Master Samples, and Inspection Aids.
- Assist in the maintenance of Statistical process control for all products and communication results to all personnel, customers as required.
- Coordinates, prepares and implements new program fixture builds including cost, design, timing and quality to meet customers and P&F requirements
- Actively participate in the development of PFMEA's.
- Develop and maintain Control Plan documentation and procedures.
- Develop appropriate key dimensional control points on new programs in conjunction with the project co-ordinator and/or customer.
- Plan and prepare PPAP submissions on new products and engineering changes to meet customer deadlines and customer specific requirements (PSO and Run@ Rate).
- Coordinate customer events at P& F and ensures professional long term relationships are met and maintained.
- Assists in IATF16949 implementation and compliance.
- Participates in plant wide continuous improvement projects.
