A bit about the role…

This is a contract opportunity as part of a high-impact project until the end of the year with opportunity to extend. The Project Business QA Lead will be responsible for leading a team of business QA resources to ensure that all applications or software products meet the business requirements and quality standards. This Project Quality Assurance Lead will also design and implement QA processes and procedures, execute test plans and track test results, and work with development teams to identify and resolve defects.
This role focuses on quality assurance throughout the duration of the project. Working closely with individual business units, the Project QA Lead will be responsible for validating new system implementations, identifying issues, and ensuring that solutions meet defined requirements and quality standards.

WHO YOU ARE :

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance

• 3+ years of experience leading a team of QA engineers

• Experience leading an ERP implementation

• Strong understanding of QA processes and procedures

• Solid business requirement analysis skill

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lead and motivate a team of testers

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Business Analysis skill to support PM and BA on requirements gathering and feature gap analysis

• Experience with agile development methodologies

• Experience with integration testing, E2E testing, regression testing, performance testing and security testing

• Experience with test management tools, such as Testmo, Jira

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

• Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;

• Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Lead and manage a QA team of testers from multiple business teams

• Design and implement QA processes and procedures

• Document test strategy and create test plans

• Participate user story grooming sessions to support PM/BA to capture detail requirements and clarify acceptance criteria together with business SMEs 

• Support business teams to build test cases and document test scripts

• Execute test plans, track test results and report test progress for each test cycle

• Report and track defects in Jira

• Work with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects

• Ensure that all applications and software products meet the requirements and quality standards

• Collaborate with other QA professionals from Solink product team to share best practices
