Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. GFT’s impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking, and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.
The RBC Team in Vancouver is be hiring for multiple Engineer roles on the AML IT team. This role will require you to be located in the Vancouver , BC region and be able to commute to the office as you will be required to work at least 3 days per week in the office, as indicated by your manager. As a Senior Quality Engineer Performance Engineer,, you to provide support for a suite of business mission-critical and complex applications, understanding both the front and back-end of the applications and will be doing hands-on testing on various projects using RBC approved performance tools - Dynatrace, Jmeter etc.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Responsible for creating testcases & automation for all project NFRs .

Responsible for reviewing nonfunctional requirements and development activities to ensure full understanding of the scope of work and optimal ways to validate solutions

Responsible for overall quality of testing deliverables/activities.

Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test execution and reporting.

Leverages the existing automation frameworks, tools and artefacts to ensure the testing process is continuous, comprehensive and fully autonomous.

Responsible for following agreed upon processes for test results storage, defect tracking and defect verification and supporting project metrics

Closely work with the Application Development team as one team to integrate quality engineering mindset/concepts within the DevOps framework/pipeline.

Work with Sr. QE lead/ Manager across LOB to identify E2E application changes to drive QE strategies during testing.

Responsible for technical coaching, mentoring, training, and day-to-day interaction with a team of QE practitioners, and developers and driving test case for projects/programs.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
-
Minimum 5+ years of experience Experience with analysis of Nonfunctional requirements from performance and security perspective for agile and non-agile projects

Hands on experience in performance test case design and analysis of results at different levels (component/service, integration, end to end/user scenarios), security testing and other types on nonfunctional testing-Hands-on.

Hands on experience developing production work load models and coordinate test environments scaled to run ‘close to prod’ performance tests

Hands on experience with Environment mapping of performance testing environment against production

Hands on experience with Diagnostics processes and tool such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics in non-production environment to diagnose performance bottlenecks early during delivery life cycle.

Hands on expertise in a variety of performance test frameworks/tools (e.g., HP LoadRunner, JMeter, etc.), monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)

Hands-on programming experience (e.g., Java, C, SQL DB querying)
Nice-to-have:

QA-related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing etc.

Performance testing with AI

Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience(e.g., python, Java, C, SQL DB querying)
