About the Role: 

We are looking for a QA Engineer to develop and execute manual tests for our platform. This role is integral to our Support team, requiring strong troubleshooting, investigation, and communication skills. The position is critical for supporting our release schedule, which occurs Monday through Thursday from 6:30 PM PST to 7:30 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). Availability during these times is essential. 


Availability: 

  • This is a remote position. However, the candidate must be available to support deployments during Monday – Thursday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm PST. 
  • We offer flexibility with daytime working hours. While the entire company operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST) with core hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST (or 6:00 am to 3:00 pm PST), we are open to start times between 6:00 am and 9:00 am PST.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Developers to understand requirements, identify potential issues, and proactively define test plans. 
  • Plan, prioritize and estimate QA activities. 
  • Effectively report bugs in Jira with clear steps to reproduce and expected results. 
  • Create and execute comprehensive and well-structures test cases and test plans. 
  • Continuously review and improve QA documentation. 
  • Conduct API testing using Postman, leveraging pre-request scripts. 
  • Utilize SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data relevant to testing procedures. 
  • Execute existing automated tests using the Selenium WebDriver/Java framework. 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a proven track record of success. 
  • Strong knowledge of Software QA methodologies, processes, and best practices. 
  • Hands-on experience with black box testing. 
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans. 
  • Proficiency in API testing using Postman, including pre-request script creation. 
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Passion for quality and a commitment to continuous improvement. 
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.

  • Jira, Xray, Chrome DevTools, Postman, SQL Server, Azure, Selenium WebDriver, Java
