The Role

As a PMO Lead / Project Manager at Elantis, you’ll be responsible for:

Project Management Office:

  • Manage and maintain the company-wide schedule for all resources and all projects.
  • Forecast resource requirements to inform Solution Architects and Director of Service Delivery on future hiring and training needs.
  • Schedule the project delivery team to meet utilization targets of 70%.
  • Apply industry best practices, tools, and techniques to improve Elantis’ project management capabilities.

Team Management:

  • Conduct regular check ins with the Project Managers reporting to you.
  • Support your team members to successfully deliver projects.
  • Assign your team to projects.
  • Interview, hire, and support retention of your team.
  • Ensure your team members are at least 70% billable.
  • Support your team in growing their careers through formal and informal training.

Project Management:

  • Manage concurrent multidisciplinary projects using both Waterfall and Agile practices.
  • Accurately manage and report on all aspects of project financials, schedule, scope, and risk.
  • Assign resources to projects in consultation with the Practice Leads / Solution Architects.
  • Monitor and control development and implementation activities for delivery.
  • Balance agile practices with adherence to contracts and ensuring clients receive expected value.
  • Facilitate presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and document project changes as needed.
  • Support Practice Leads / Solution Architects in guiding customers to project decisions.

Actively support Elantis culture:

On the technical side, here are some of the skills we’re looking for:

Consulting Skills

  • Articulate, excellent communication skills.
  • Able to confidently advise clients on project deliverables and milestones.
  • Proactive and driven.
  • Work within estimates and highlight risks to meeting estimates before exceeding them.
  • Able to context switch and manage multiple client commitments.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking ability.
  • Support the Practice Leads / Solution Architects in leading the project delivery.
  • Able to manage billable time and work efficiently.
  • Able to handle customer escalations and ensure appropriate account manager involvement.

Job Qualification and Skills:

  • Five or more years’ experience in managing complex technology projects.
  • Experience in consulting roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and projects typically ranging from $50-$500K, with a combined multimillion-dollar budget.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, enabling you to present to C-level customers and the Elantis leadership team. 
  • Experience creating detailed WBS from sales proposals and working collaboratively to ensure all delivery team members understand their assigned tasks.
  • Ability to control project scope and deliverables by assessing risks, ensuring strict change control, and leveraging exceptional stakeholder management.
  • Meticulous entry and review of timesheets and generation of recurring status reports.
  • Familiarity with Project Online, SharePoint, and Microsoft DevOps.
  • Current project management certification (PMP or CSM preferred). Other complementary certification paths are a plus (e.g., Prince2, Prosci, Lean, ITIL, etc.)
