Job Summary

The sky is no longer the limit as Nidec takes its technology off the ground and into the Aerospace market. As a Project Manager with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to design electric propulsion systems for the battery-powered aircrafts that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B.
Nidec is the world’s leading electric motor manufacturer and a true pioneer in electrification across a wide array of industries since its foundation in 1973, ranging from appliance, energy infrastructure, to ground transportation. Nidec Aerospace is a newly created Joint Venture between Nidec and Embraer which intends to take a leading role in the Electrification of Aircrafts. We are well-positioned and excited to support the aerospace industry in its ambitious transition to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

From ideation to production, you will work with a diverse and experienced team of design engineers to support aerospace industry leaders and spearhead technological advances in transport decarbonization.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This Project Manager position will be focused in aerospace system development, playing a crucial role in assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of projects within our organization. You will work closely with senior project managers and team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets. 

  • Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information. 

  • Managing the requirements specification and process. 

  • Assist configuration management in all aspects related to system.

  • Ensure the compliance with the applicable standards such as ARP-4754 and DO-331.  

  • Monitor project progress and ensure tasks are completed on schedule. 

  • Assist in identifying and resolving project issues and risks. 

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, status reports, and change orders. 

  • Support communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather requirements. 

  • Assist in managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. 

  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections as required. 

  • Contribute to process improvements and best practices in project management. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or related field. 

  • Strong organizational and time management and multitasking skills. 

  • Experience with System development process within aerospace. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Power BI) is a plus. 

  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities. 

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or willingness to pursue certification. 

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. 

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering field. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Experience: 

  • 10 years of experience working as a System Engineer or Project Manager.
