We are currently seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our CI GAM IT department. The successful candidate will work closely with our IT Client Reporting team on the development, modernization and maintenance of our statements and tax processes. In this role, you will assist with solutioning business requirements by extracting data, enhancing, and building new web applications to be used in client reporting. You will also
be assisting in transforming our legacy applications for cloud adoption.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Designs and develops system solutions of medium to high complexity
• Collaborate with business partners, business systems analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions and insights.
• Develop and support applications and processes
• Documents new systems according to established standards.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
• 2+ years of programming experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Proficient in web application development, RESTful API design, on a cloud platform.
• Strong background in system solutions and design.
• Skilled in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Experience with AWS services (Step Functions, Elastic Glue, Secrets Manager).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
Effective communicator, able to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and Atlassian tools.
• Financial services experience is an asset; cybersecurity knowledge is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
