Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:

• Minimum grade 12 education required
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Excellent leadership skills and proven ability to motivate a team
• Must have ability to provide guidance, coaching and mentorship
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to deal with issues as they arise
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Computer literate (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must have a strong awareness of safety and be quality minded
• Proven ability to work in a self-directed manner with changing priorities
• Technical/Mechanical awareness for troubleshooting and resolving robot and machine downtime
• Ability to work and train with maintenance staff to be active in the control and operation of equipment

MAIN DUTIES:

• Supervises employees within department, providing training, guidance, mentoring and performance management to ensure employee productivity
• Assigns, audits & schedules appropriate manpower & overtime to ensure payroll reporting & business needs are met
• Scheduling and delivery of product
• Ensures safety standards are being met
• Accident/incident reporting, SPOTM's, inspections and daily team meetings
• Implements Continuous Improvements in yield, utilization, labor efficiency, cost reduction, 5S, safety and quality
• Supports and manages employee issues, as they arise, including progressive discipline
• Responsible for effectively managing the Principles of the Employee Charter
• Determines training requirements for team and ensures matrixes are updated
• Maintains records, generates and provides downtime, utilization, through put and shift reports
• Performs all job functions in a safe, healthful and environmentally conscious manner
