Your mission should you choose to accept it.
The Product Manager (PM) at ScalePad is responsible for owning a defined feature set or product area within a portfolio. Reporting to the Group Product Manager (GPM), the PM works with their GPM to translate business and portfolio objectives into actionable product plans. The PM ensures discovery practices validate market needs, and drives execution in close collaboration with UX Design, Engineering, and GTM teams. This role emphasizes partner-centric thinking, accountability for outcomes, and leadership in advancing ScalePad’s product performance.

Responsibilities.

Strategic Ownership

  • Owns a feature set or product area, including backlog and release planning.
  • Supports product performance by tracking usage and adoption metrics.
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders and GPM to align priorities.
  • Translates business and portfolio objectives into actionable requirements.
  • Monitors product usage trends and shares insights with senior leadership.

Product Discovery & Planning

  • Leads discovery, including partner interviews, ensuring problem and solution validation.
  • Contributes to maintaining a product roadmap with near-term detail and alignment to long-term vision.
  • Balances partner needs with technical feasibility when scoping features.
  • Incorporates stakeholder vision while ensuring business impact and market needs.
  • Clearly defines the impact of releases through financial and product usage KPIs.
  • Documents product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Leverages modern tools, including AI, to support documentation, prototyping, and idea validation.
  • Collaborates closely with UX Design to create intuitive and partner-centric experiences.
  • Collaborates with Engineering to scope and deliver features effectively.
  • Ensures decisions are data-driven, informed by usage, market analysis, and feedback.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborates with Sales, Success, Marketing, Support to deliver cohesive outcomes.
  • Partners with Product Marketing on positioning, messaging, and enablement.
  • Provides visibility into product progress and release plans through stakeholder updates.
  • Identifies and communicates dependencies that may impact delivery.

Partner & Market Insight

  • Engages with partners and prospects to understand needs and opportunities.
  • Develops understanding of target personas, partner workflows, and pain points.
  • Tracks competitor offerings and market trends to inform product decisions.
  • Shares findings with the broader team to support alignment and strategy.


Qualifications.

  • SaaS product management experience preferred (IT/MSP sector is an asset).
  • Experience contributing to product roadmaps and delivering features.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to write clear product documentation and user stories.
  • Recommended: Pragmatic Institute certifications.
