Founded in 2014, Ampd Energy develops robust, versatile, advanced, compact, and connected battery energy storage systems (BESS) to replace the dirty, noisy, and hazardous diesel generators that power job sites in industries such as construction, civil works, mining, events, film, and utilities.

Ampd Energy is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the lifecycle management of one of our core product lines. This role is pivotal in driving both the enhancement of existing products and the successful introduction of new offerings. A key focus will be on close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure seamless product development that aligns with customer needs. Additionally, you will work with hardware and software product owners and program management to coordinate product strategies and execute market launches effectively. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation of product management and technical experience, looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic and growing organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate with hardware and software product owners: Ensure the seamless integration of features across the product line.
  • Align with program management: Keep product development on track with company objectives and ensure timely execution of product initiatives.
  • Work with global business development: Adapt the product line to meet the specific needs of international markets.
  • Development Methodologies
  • Agile Methodology: Utilize Agile to manage iterative development with regular updates and feedback. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to keep development responsive and efficient.
  • Stage Gate Methodology: Apply Stage Gate experience to guide core product projects through structured phases. Conduct evaluations at each stage to track progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Product Launch and Post-Launch Support
  • Lead product launches: Ensure comprehensive preparation for market introduction, including materials, training, and support.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch: Use customer feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvements and inform future developments.

Who You Are:

  • Experience
  • 7+ years of product management experience, particularly in managing both existing product lines and launching new products.
  • Experience in technology, industrial, or energy sectors is preferred.
  • Experience in international product management is an asset.
  • Technical Acumen
  • In-depth understanding of power systems, power electronics, or battery systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
