If so, this opportunity with our Marketing and Communications team is for you.
Context: Driving Digital Media Innovation
At Radio-Canada, we craft digital experiences enjoyed by millions of Canadians every day on platforms like ICI TOU.TV, Radio-Canada OHdio and Radio-Canada Info. In a fast-changing ecosystem, data and marketing technology (MarTech) serve as our compass, guiding how we customize the audience experience and optimize our results. You will play a key role in our transition to a modern architecture, harnessing technological innovation to drive marketing performance.
Why This Role Matters
As Product Manager, MarTech (Marketing and Technology), you will play a pivotal strategic role at the critical intersection of marketing business needs and our data and technology teams’ capabilities. As the steward of our marketing technology road map, you will drive the evolution and maximize the value of our entire MarTech ecosystem. Your goal will be to maximize user engagement and lifetime value (LTV) by delivering high-performance, secure and interoperable solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Product Vision and Road Map: Own and steer the MarTech road map in alignment with strategic pillars defined by leadership. Anticipate market trends to fuel and sustain our growth objectives.
- Procurement and RFP Management: Act as the technical subject matter expert and co-ordinator during procurement and vendor selection processes for new solutions, partnering closely with Procurement and specialized teams.
- Backlog Management and Delivery: Prioritize development pipelines by translating complex business needs into clearly defined technical user stories for integration into development team road maps.
- Optimization and ROI: Maximize the return on our technology investments. Track operational budgets (licensing and usage), optimize feature adoption across tools and lead post-implementation performance reviews.
- Ecosystem Orchestration and Interconnectivity: Drive platform integration to ensure a seamless data flow across the MarTech stack. Orchestrate functional interconnectivity so that data is collected, centralized and actionable for third-party systems.
- Governance, Quality and Ethics: Ensure platform compliance with privacy and data protection regulations while overseeing the reliability of our marketing data pipelines.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the internal subject matter expert to drive maximum adoption of our marketing technologies. Lead through influence with internal partners to align business processes with the ecosystem’s technological capabilities.
This is a hybrid role blending in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.
What You Bring:
You understand that tools and data hold value only when they directly serve audience engagement and business performance.
Key Technical Skills:
- MarTech Ecosystem: Demonstrated expertise in deploying and managing complex products such as customer journey orchestration platforms, analytics and performance tools, ad servers and CDPs.
- Data and Architecture: Strong understanding of data flows, tracking principles (tags, pixels) and decentralized architectures.
- Governance and Data Privacy: Strong command of compliance and privacy regulations in the digital space.
- Change Management: Proven ability to guide teams through the adoption of new workflows, mitigate resistance and facilitate training.
- Agile Tools: Advanced proficiency with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
Professional Skills:
- Translating Business Needs: Ability to translate marketing challenges into technology requirements and articulate technical value in terms of business outcomes.
- Resilience and Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a rapidly changing environment and managing projects with shifting scopes.
- Thorough, Analytical Mindset: A passion for data precision and structured systems.
- Drive for Growth: Keen interest in modern marketing trends and continuous performance improvement.
- Operational Discipline: Ability to maintain accurate documentation and asset inventories.
- Communication: Bilingualism (English/French) and an outstanding ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply would be a major asset when collaborating with external technology vendors.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, digital intelligence, information technology or a related field.
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in marketing and technology or performance marketing.
- Excellent command of French and a good understanding of English.
- Experience deploying or utilizing enterprise marketing technology tools is an asset.
- Experience collaborating with external vendors or working within structured environments is an asset.
Why Join Us?
- Be on the front lines of putting data at the core of the marketing teams’ strategic and creative decisions.
- Play a pivotal role where your human impact will be just as important as your technical influence.
- Enjoy the opportunity to lead and scale a cutting-edge MarTech stack within a major public media organization.
- Benefit from a corporate culture that values work/life balance, inclusion, diversity and ongoing innovation.
