Who we areAbout Stripe

Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Link team at Stripe is building a fast, convenient, and best-in-class consumer checkout experience that makes buying anything online magical for consumers while driving higher conversion and higher-margin transactions for our many millions of merchants. Based across North America, we're all deeply passionate about redefining the payment experience for consumers and creating outstanding value for merchants that increases revenue, lowers cost, and grows their business. Our days are filled with exciting challenges and collaborative problem-solving as we look to create a gigantic, global consumer network with new and unique checkout and payment products.

What you’ll do

You’ll work closely with your product partners and design teammates to shape the future of Link. You’ll continue to help us build the fastest and most convenient checkout experience. You’ll explore new features and products that expand Link’s footprint and consumer benefits beyond checkout. And you’ll do all this by obsessing over Link’s brand and visual identity and the look and feel of the end-to-end experience, ensuring Link stands out as the most preferred way to pay online.

Responsibilities

  • Design magical, industry-leading consumer checkout experiences
  • Work with engineering and product to design, build, and launch user-facing product experiences
  • Work with our Brand Studio team to bring Link’s visual identity to life
  • Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with design and company leadership

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • 4+ years relevant design experience at a consumer tech company
  • Strong skills in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping demonstrated through a portfolio of work, spanning desktop and mobile surfaces
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams
  • Experience leading changes to a design system

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to design and prototype in code
  • Strong independence and an ability to advocate for a larger design vision with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
  • Skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work
