Ready to make a real impact on global health and wellness care?
Practice Better is an all-in-one platform helping health and wellness practitioners run their businesses, care for their clients, and scale their impact. Founded by practitioners in 2016, we’re now the leading EHR and practice management platform in the wellness industry, trusted by tens of thousands of practitioners across 70+ countries.
In 2023, we expanded our whole-practice care offering through the acquisition of That Clean Life, bringing nutrition planning into our platform.
We’re a remote-first team headquartered in Toronto, made up of curious, driven, and empathetic people building tools that help practitioners create sustainable, independent practices; and do the most meaningful work of their careers. While most of our work happens remotely, we come together regularly for off-sites and team events to stay connected and build together.
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our growing team.
As a Principal Product Manager, you'll operate at the highest level of individual product leadership at Practice Better. You'll own strategy and execution across two interconnected and critical domains: the breadth and health of the Practice Better platform, and our upmarket and premium growth initiatives. That means deeply understanding our practitioners, their workflows, and our key customer segments — and using that foundation to drive smart, well-resourced decisions about where and how to grow. You bring the kind of rigor, clarity, and data-driven discipline that makes the people around you better, and you thrive as a senior IC who leads through influence and excellence.
You are a seasoned product leader who brings clarity to complexity, earns trust at every level of the organization, and has a strong track record of driving meaningful outcomes in growth-stage SaaS environments.
Note: Practice Better is a remote-first company with team members across North America. This particular role is currently open to US-Based and Canadian-based candidates only, and candidates must be legally entitled to work for any employer in the country that they are based. Practice Better is unable to support sponsorship for work permits or visas at this time.
What You’ll Be Doing- Own the core platform product strategy and roadmap — develop deep expertise in Practice Better's core workflows, user segments, and ICPs, and ensure our platform investments are driving the right outcomes for practitioners and the business
- Lead our upmarket and premium feature strategy — partner across the business to identify and validate growth opportunities, assess build vs. buy tradeoffs, and develop a clear point of view on where premium and upmarket investments will unlock the most value
- Drive end-to-end product outcomes across complex, multi-workstream initiatives — from discovery and prioritization through launch, iteration, and measurable business impact, with clear-eyed tradeoffs between customer value and business return
- Lead data-driven decision making across your product areas, setting the standard for how we define success, instrument our products, and use quantitative and qualitative signals to prioritize
- Champion the voice of the practitioner, ensuring deep user empathy and market insight are embedded in every product decision
- Serve as a force multiplier for the product team — mentor PMs, model best-in-class product practices, and help elevate discovery, communication, and execution quality across the org
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Design, Research, Marketing, and Customer Success on complex initiatives
- Contribute to org-wide product planning, including roadmap strategy, OKR development, and executive stakeholder alignment
- Evaluate strategic bets — including new market opportunities, premium packaging, and platform investments — bringing the analytical rigor and business judgment needed to make high-confidence decisions and smart resource tradeoffs
- Establish shared frameworks and ways of working that improve how Practice Better discovers, builds, and ships product at scale
- 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least several years operating at a senior or principal level in a SaaS environment
- Proven track record of owning large, complex product areas and delivering meaningful outcomes with a high degree of autonomy
- Deeply data-driven — you set up instrumentation, define success metrics, track outcomes rigorously, and use data to inform strategy and prioritization
- Experience with monetization, pricing, or payments product strategy is a strong asset
- Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to synthesize market data, user insights, and business context into a compelling, actionable product vision
- Deep expertise in product discovery, user research, and evidence-based decision making
- Strong cross-functional influencer — you align diverse stakeholders and drive momentum without relying on formal authority
- Experience navigating organizational complexity, competing priorities, and resource constraints
- Results-driven and self-directed, comfortable operating in fast-moving, growth-stage environments
- Naturally elevates the people around you — through mentorship, modeling excellent craft, and raising the standard for what "good" looks like
- Experience in health, wellness, or healthcare industries, particularly with HIPAA-compliant systems
- Deep familiarity with core SaaS platform ownership — you understand practitioner or professional workflows, can quickly develop ICP fluency, and know how to balance platform health with new investment
- Experience with upmarket or enterprise growth strategy, including ICP definition, packaging, and build vs. buy assessment
- Experience leading product strategy through a period of significant company growth or transformation
- Experience with AI/ML product strategy or integrating emerging technologies into product roadmaps
- Familiarity with integrative health, nutrition, or practice management domains
- Experience with product-led growth (PLG) at scale
- MBA or advanced degree
