THE TEAM

The mission of the People Practices & Compliance Department is to identify, consult, and mitigate people risks in the business through creative problem-solving, and development of proactive employment practices.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing, and our People Practices & Compliance team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for mitigating people risks through compliance activities. As the Director of Compliance, you will support the team responsible for influencing the development and ensure ongoing validation and governance of people compliance activities. THE ROLE

As the Director of Compliance, you will:

  • Partner with relevant Business Partners, including Legal and Risk, to gather and develop policy requirements
  • Maintain and regularly update the Employee Handbook
  • Collaborate with relevant Business Partners to develop employment contract
  • Develop frameworks, tools and processes in support of people and employment practices

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Director of Compliance has:

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, applicable certifications, education and/or experience in human resources compliance
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion and enrich Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The skills to collaborate strategically with cross-functional partners in the pursuit of shared business outcomes
  • The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team
  • A dedication to quality and investing in results and new business opportunities that add value

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.  Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.]
