As a People & Culture Business Partner, you'll deliver HR services, support organizational development, and improve employee engagement and retention while ensuring compliance with standards.
As a People & Culture Business Partner at our Abbotsford, BC location, you will play a key role in supporting the People & Culture department and the broader business. You will deliver a full cycle of HR services focused on organizational development, employee relations, and talent management to help drive the company’s vision and strategic goals. Your work will ensure effective employee engagement, development, and retention while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days working onsite in Abbotsford.
- Partner with business leaders to deliver full-cycle HR services aligned with organizational goals
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, industrial relations, onboarding, exit processes, recruitment, and organizational development
- Mentor and guide department leaders on employee engagement and retention strategies
- Coach managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues through investigation and proactive solutions
- Manage exit interview processes, analyze feedback, and implement improvements to enhance retention
- Facilitate workforce planning and support compensation program administration, including performance appraisal monitoring
- Lead project management, process improvement initiatives, and reporting related to turnover and recruitment analysis
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment standards and human rights legislation
- Collaborate with recruitment teams to support hiring processes across Western Canada
- Maintain accessibility to employees, gather feedback, and contribute to enhancing organizational culture and employee satisfaction
- Support other People & Culture functions as needed to drive business success
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
- 6-8 years of experience in HR, including handling complex employee relations issues
- In-depth knowledge of HR disciplines such as performance management, workforce planning, compensation, and employee engagement
- Familiarity with Employment Standards Act and Human Rights legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure
- High level of discretion, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably Workday, and strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Positive attitude, creativity, and a sense of humor to foster a collaborative work environment
