Ingenuity Studios is seeking a CG Lead, responsible for overseeing CG projects and sequences through the production pipeline. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, excellent communicator and experienced CG Generalist with a good creative eye. The CG Lead is involved in determining the methodology and requirements needed to achieve the desired look for specific CG projects, as well as helping guide a small CG team at a creative and technical level.

Responsibilities 

  • Works closely with the VFX Supervisor to establish methodology and approach to CG projects and sequences
  • Manages a small CG team on projects and sequences, ensuring creative and technical notes are met and that the sequence is successfully completed on time
  • Responsible for tasking out a small CG team for projects and sequences
  • Provides technical and creative notes to artists on CG team
  • Work includes on-the-box shot set-ups and finishing
  • Helping mentor junior artists
  • Work with CG Production Manager to ensure deadlines and milestones are met

Requirements

  • Houdini, Maya experience required
  • Renderman, Nuke, ZBrush experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Shotgun required
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a CG Artist required
  • At least 1 year experience a CG Lead preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required

BC Pay Range

$40$50 CAD
