The Operational Excellence Leader is responsible for driving operational performance and innovation, engaging with business leaders to: identify and continuously improve operation processes where performance improvements are required; drive a DBS mindset and ensure an appropriate foundation of DBS skills in the organization.
This position reports to the General Manager, Aseptic Filling and is part of the Operations team located in Burnaby, BC and will be an on-site role.
What you'll do:

Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in QDIP (Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity) that is tied to Policy Deployment (PD) and Daily Management (DM) by leveraging DBS tools as an active Leader in PD and Daily Management reviews. Be an active Leader in PD and DM reviews (as appropriate).

Assist site / business leadership in the development of a DBS Roadmap (i.e., how to use the DBS tools to drive sustainable improvement in results). Lead, facilitate, coordinate and manage the annual Kaizen Events at the site.

Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching. Facilitate other DBS training sessions when appropriate (other trainers and consultants from Danaher, Shingijutsu etc).

Promote and facilitate diagnosis of work flow impediments and other wastes throughout the business, and provide expert counsel on appropriate DBS tools to eliminate them.

Promote and facilitate associate development in various DBS tools and kaizen leadership. Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher locations.
Who you are
- Educational Background & Industry Expertise: Post-secondary education in operations, engineering, or business. Deep knowledge of manufacturing, tools, tech and best practices.
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years managing and leading teams in operations, complex manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Customer Focus: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Continuous Improvement: Extensive experience in driving cross-functional improvements using DBS, Lean Production, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with DBS tools, Lean Production, or Lean Six Sigma.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Strategic Thinking: Capable of viewing the business from a general management perspective and making strategic decisions.
- Self-Reliance: Independent worker who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment and can effectively handle ambiguity and challenging situations that come with change.
- Results-Oriented: Driven by a strong focus on achieving business results and meeting objectives.
The salary range for this role is 140,000-160,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and retirement benefits to eligible employees.
