The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a National Vice President, Priority Clients to join our Direct Investing team.

Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships & Priority Clients, the National Vice President, Priority Clients, plays a leadership role within the Direct Investing team. This position is responsible for leading a team of Senior Relationship Managers, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients.

In addition to team leadership, the National Vice President, Priority Clients maintains a select portfolio of complex client relationships, providing personalized wealth management advice and strategic investment guidance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in online brokerage, a proven track record of team and sales leadership, and a client-centric approach that drives loyalty and growth.

What your day looks like:

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business goals and deliver outstanding client experiences
  • Manage a personal portfolio of HNW/UHNW clients, offering an exceptional level of service and act as the champion of the relationship
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure seamless service delivery and client engagement strategies with enterprise wide goals
  • Drive business development initiatives and contribute to strategic planning within the department
  • Drive a sales culture which leads with relationship in order to build loyalty and consolidation of assets
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing of Priority Client needs to the broader Aviso / Qtrade firm
  • Deliver with support from the team exceptional events geared to this audience
  • Manage the budget and strategic direction of the team
  • Champion client engagement strategies aligned with Qtrade’s award winning platform and highlight areas of advancement required to provide outstanding service and capabilities for this client base
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and proactive client engagement

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or related field (MBA an asset)
  • 10+ years of experience in wealth management and / or online brokerage with a strong focus on HNW client segments
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practice Handbook (CPH) is required
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, at both the individual and group level
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and additional language skills in Mandarin or French is an asset
  • Proven leadership experience managing a relationship team in high growth, client centric environments
  • Exceptional client relationship skills, with demonstrated ability to build trust, retain clients and grow assets under management
  • Digital fluency with comfort navigating and leveraging digital platforms to enhance client experience and operational efficiency
  • Strong business acumen and familiar with Qtrade’s platform capabilities and digital tools, or similar online brokerage/advisory platform

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $115,000 - $145,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
