Job Summary

This position is responsible for testing motors as they come through the Assembly department to ensure the correct specifications have been met. This position requires extreme attention to details and a thorough knowledge of the work procedures and component applications. Employee will be responsible for producing high quality parts for the next internal customer in the chain.

Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Test and inspect motors per engineering instructions
  • Check motor dimension per engineering instructions
  • Comply with company quality and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES:                                                                     TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum

  • Self motivated
  • Basic computer skills
  • Read and follow instructions

Preferred

  • Ability to work independently
  • Dependability
  • Ability to operate inspection tools, micrometers, gauges and calipers

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  •    Previous employment in manufacturing
  •    Previous experience with testing of electrical motors
  • Previous experience with high voltage
  •    Ability to work in a Team oriented setting
  • Good Communication skills – Verbal & Written
