Junior Modeling / Texturing Artist


Job Overview

      As a Junior Modeling and Texturing Artist, you will play a key role in creating high-quality 3D models and textures for characters, props, and environments, aligning with project requirements. Collaborating closely with senior artists, you will learn and refine modeling techniques, while also developing skills in texture creation and application. Regular participation in team critiques will be essential for continuous improvement, ensuring your work meets project specifications and maintains a high level of quality. Effective communication within the team is crucial to understanding project goals, and your active participation in discussions will contribute to the overall artistic vision. Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D models and textures for characters, props, and environments based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior artists to learn and refine modeling techniques and best practices.
  • Learn to create textures that complement the visual style of 3D models.
  • Apply textures to models under the guidance of senior artists, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Review and revise work based on feedback from senior artists to meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Participate in regular team critiques to enhance skills and maintain a high level of quality.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to understand project goals and requirements.
  • Actively participate in team discussions and contribute ideas to the artistic vision of the project.

Qualifications

Intermediate Modeling / Texturing Artist

      As an Intermediate Modeling and Texturing Artist, you will play a crucial role in the creation of high-quality 3D models and textures for various projects. Working closely with our art and design teams, you will contribute to the visual aesthetics of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of realism and artistic vision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed and accurate 3D models based on concept art, reference images, or design specifications.
  • Collaborate with the art and design teams to ensure the models align with the project's visual style and technical requirements.
  • Develop high-quality textures that enhance the visual appeal of 3D models.
  • Apply textures to models using industry-standard software, ensuring seamless integration and realistic representation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of own work to ensure it meets project specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other artists and provide constructive feedback to maintain a high level of quality across the entire art pipeline.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows and processes within the art department.

Qualifications

The wage range for this role reflects compensation across all of ICON’s projects. The final salary will be determined based on the specific position, the current show assignment, and the applicant’s experience and portfolio. This range accounts for varying levels of experience and responsibilities.
