Gensler’s Vancouver office is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Marketing Specialist. Marketing Specialists are the key producers of materials that support Gensler’s business development efforts. They work under the direction of office leadership, senior staff, and marketing leaders to write, design, and produce proposals, presentations, and other collateral / thought leadership used to help the firm win work. Marketers also play a key role in the general activities of the office/regional marketing studio, such as strategy, positioning, storytelling, photography, graphic design, and knowledge management.

Your Role

We are looking for a versatile marketer to conduct marketing activities in Vancouver under the direction of our regional marketing and PR leadership. The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter and a natural collaborator, eager to lend a hand, an idea, or a well-timed meme for morale. Excellent communicators, proactive problem solvers, graphic design wizards, and strategic thinkers will find an environment that supports thoughtful work and professional growth. What You Will Do

  • Lead pursuit strategy and planning
  • Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards
  • Conduct go/no-go evaluation for new pursuits in collaboration with office leaders; researches new leads
  • Develop new materials as needed to support business development activities, with a critical emphasis on graphic design capabilities
  • Perform multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines
  • Learn and understand Gensler’s portfolio of work, practice areas, and capabilities; assist office business development leaders position in the local market
  • Maintain marketing collateral, resources, and information systems
  • Work closely with marketing team members in the region to complete special projects and elevate the quality of our efforts
  • Collaborates closely with Regional PR and Marketing leadership to implement strategies and processes
  • Point of contact for Vancouver for global Gensler marketing and communication
  • Coordinates and oversees project photography
  • Manages office marketing budgets and assists office leadership with weekly reporting
  • Provides accountability for office leadership to maintain pipeline data quality and pursuit budgets

Your Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a marketing position with a design or professional services firm, prior experience in the AEC industry is a must
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or Business
  • Ability to lead BD conversations confidently and strategically and collaborate closely with leadership on win strategy and storytelling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative and impactful graphic design skills, including creating effective presentations and marketing collateral
  • Self-motivator with strong organizational and intra-personal skills, and a great collaborator
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work with diverse project teams and in a fast-paced work environment
  • Mastery of InDesign is a must
  • Proficiency in Photoshop / Illustrator is required, knowledge of Google Slides, Keynote, and Miro are a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required

**The base salary range will be estimated between $75,000 - $95,000. Gensler’s total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
