As a Marketing Science Lead, your curiosity never ends. The next question is always on your mind, helping you demonstrate the value of marketing science to internal and external stakeholders. You bring in 5 to 8 years of experience, leading others in delivering Marketing Science projects across a broad range of initiatives, with a demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following areas: data integration, ETL, database management, tracking and measurement, data visualization, ML/AI operations. You have experience optimizing Digital marketing efforts by systematically using data-driven insights, enjoy collaborating with others, and excel at leading and training juniors to translate findings into clear, actionable and executable insights.

Gaining leadership experience through supervising and developing a passionate team of analysts (including managing their work priorities, timelines, deliverables, and training) is definitely something you’re looking for. And you’ll expose your analyst to all Marketing Science sub-disciplines to help develop their expertise.

You will:

  • Understand data, data management, data infrastructure, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Lead the ideation, development and execution of data solutions that support the functions of the business
  • Manage, develop and motivate analysts: participate in resourcing, hiring and training planning.
  • Lead the mapping and implementation of data flows and ensure compliance with data governance protocols.
  • Partner with team leads, clients, and agency partners to solve data problems and advance the data ecosystem to support the needs of the business.
  • Shape analytics content and provide point of view on methodology and technology.
  • Manage and lead projects using project management skills to set clear expectations for relevant stakeholders.
  • Creatively solve problems, improve processes, and design methodically.

You have:

  • B.S. degree in a quantitative or technical field. Including but not limited to economics, mathematics, business, finance, social sciences, computer science, or information management. M.S. degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering focused roles, preferably in the digital marketing space.
  • An insatiable curiosity and sense of humour. 
  • Strong collaboration, project management, and team building skills.  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to a variety of audiences, including creative, tech, media, project management, account, and client teams. 
  • Extensive experience in data engineering: data architecture, ETL/data integration (and related tools), data automation, cloud based data management platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Expertise in Python, R, SQL, as it relates to their application in data management
  • Experience with two or more visualization platforms: Tableau, Domo, PowerBI, etc., and knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the market leaders.
  • Proficient knowledge of digital marketing data sources
  • Experience providing task direction and/or mentoring junior analysts.
  • Ability to distill large quantities of information into clear and concise insights to formulate actionable recommendations. 
  • Ability to articulate ideas and concepts in visually interesting and compelling formats. 
  • An understanding that each project and problem requires a fresh approach. 
  • Proficiency in current issues and trends within the online marketing industry with an emphasis on emerging media and mobile platforms.
