Sick of commuting? Tired of “hybrid” jobs that are really “in office” jobs in disguise? If you’re discovering that you’re more productive at home than in an office, and want to make that arrangement permanent, we may have the position you’re after.
At CarriersEdge, we’re focused on producing great quality products and happy customers. We don’t care about being the coolest company in town, having the most amazing office perks, or the hippest staff. If you’re interested in those things, you’ll hate us.
On the other hand, if you’re not looking for a social group and just want to do great work, then you may be exactly what we’re looking for. We don’t care where you work, and we won’t be looking over your shoulder micromanaging you. You’ll have minimal meetings disrupting your week, and plenty of time to focus on doing the best job possible. We’re growing, but not so quickly that things are chaotic.
As part of that growth, we’ve got an opening for a Marketing Program Manager.
This role is for someone who loves bringing order to complexity. Our marketing team has strong ideas, a lot of moving pieces, and no shortage of work to do. What we need is someone who can make sure projects are structured properly, moving on time, visible to the right people, and coordinated effectively across teams.
You will own the systems, workflows, and accountability needed to help the marketing team execute effectively using out tool of choice: Jira. You’ll make sure work is clearly scoped, tracked properly, communicated well, and pushed forward when things stall.
There is also a secondary component to the role focused on marketing operations. In the near term, that means helping support CRM hygiene, documentation, process consistency, and setup as we migrate to a new system.
If you’re the kind of person who gets satisfaction from turning loose ideas into clear workflows, cleaning up messy boards, making cross-functional projects easier to run, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks, we should talk.
About You
- You’re borderline OCD. You’ve been described as fussy, uptight, or obsessive, but you recognize that for this work those are actually compliments.
- You’re comfortable being the unpopular person who chases everyone to ensure their homework is done. You have a history as a hall monitor, narc, snitch or other irritant and you embrace that.
- You’re highly organized. You like building systems that make teams work better, and you’re comfortable enforcing them when people drift off process.
- You understand that good marketing work does not happen by accident. It requires clear priorities, visible progress, strong follow-through, and consistent communication across teams.
- You enjoy working with creative and technical teams and know how to adapt your communication style to different people and functions.
- You’re detail-oriented enough to maintain clean workflows and documentation, but practical enough to know when a process is becoming too heavy.
- You do not need someone standing over you to get things moving. In fact, you are usually the person making sure everyone else has what they need to move.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management of marketing projects using Jira, ensuring work is properly created, scoped, prioritized, assigned, updated, and completed.
- Maintain and improve the team’s use of Jira so it functions as the central system for tracking work, managing deadlines, and communicating project status.
- Ensure the marketing team is using agreed-upon workflows consistently and help enforce accountability when process is not being followed.
- Support more effective cross-functional planning for launches, campaigns, website updates, events, and content initiatives.
- Help maintain campaign calendars, project schedules, and operational checkpoints needed to keep the department running smoothly.
- Support/lead the creation of repeatable processes, templates, and documentation that improve consistency and execution quality.
- Support the proper use and hygiene of CRM and marketing automation tools.
- Assist with documenting workflows, field usage, process standards, and data cleanliness expectations during a planned CRM transition.
- Work with Director of Marketing and other managers to analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to enhance future strategies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in project management, program management, marketing operations, or a related coordination-heavy role within a B2B, SaaS, or similarly process-driven marketing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience using modern project management tools (e.g. Jira, Monday, Asana, etc.) to manage workflows, track progress, coordinate dependencies, and improve team execution.
- Proven ability to enforce process discipline and keep teams aligned without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail, use this skill to find a way to mention black flies in your cover letter.
- Comfort working independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation, workflows, templates, and process standards.
- Familiarity with marketing teams and marketing workstreams such as campaigns, content, websites, events, and partner initiatives.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and data hygiene best practices.
- PMP designation would be an asset.
- Experience with Atlassian tools would be an asset.
- Must reside in Canada.
