About the Role

The Managing Director is responsible for the strategic, operational, sales and financial leadership of the branch. You are focused on the development of a long-term business strategy for the North American market. You will identify new business opportunities, partnerships and market trends to achieve revenue and profitability for the company. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our International Managing Director as well as our General Manager Canada.

This position is intended as a successor to our general manager for our North American Business.  

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Efficient business processes and high-quality standards

  • Daily reports to identify every potential

Sales

  • Identify the customer needs and search for manufactured solutions

  • Strengthen the employer´s position upon the market

  • Building a core customer base. (Retain and grow the customer base).

People Leadership

  • Strong, performance-oriented company culture

  • Build several high-performing teams in every business unit

  • Responsible for the on point employee development

Organizational Development

  • Identify new opportunities

  • Transformation of the existing business

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, date protection, and other regulatory requirements

  • Identify and manage business risks

Qualifications
  • Master-Degree in Business Administration or comparable experience

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in sales of technical or capital goods

  • Industry experience (elevator sector or materials handling) is an asset

  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, planning and organizational skills

  • Have a general understanding of mechanical and electrical technical functionality

  • Excellent communication, negotiation skills and strong customer orientation

  • Proficiency with MS Office and willingness to travel regularly

  • International experience is welcome

  • Proven success in key account management and sales process understanding

Salary & Benefits

120.000 - 150.000 CAD (up on existing network, potential, experience in the elevator industry – car fixtures) + Bonus 20 - 30 % up on value.
