About the role
We are looking for a Manager of Strategic Design to join the Customer Experience Research team within the Marketing department at Intact. This is a people leader role and will report to the Director of Customer Experience Research.
As a Manager, Strategic Design, you will lead a talented team of service designers, strategists and UX researchers, who transform customer-centric experiences with our brands and drive competitive outperformance at IFC.
Reporting to the Director of Customer Experience Research, your main responsibilities will be:

Support your team in defining and executing experiences that help achieve strategic goals

Team up with the Behavioural Economics and Consumer Insights teams to plan and execute initiatives that uncover opportunities for customers across our brands

Ideate strategies that bring win-win outcomes for all users, stakeholders, and the business

Collaborate with, lead, and empower teams through discovery > design > implementation

Partner with executives and develop a deep understanding of their business objectives

Develop compelling presentations that secure stakeholder buy-in and inspire teams
-
Measure the progress and results of long-term journey transformation

Mentor a design team and continually level up practices and operations
-
Train and equip teams across our company with design and innovation methods

Identify and promote new areas in the organization where design can provide value

Champion and advise on design and research practices at all levels of IFC
Your assets
-
10 years’ experience in human-centered design and customer experience research, ideally within a marketing environment
-
Master Dedree or equivalent experience
-
5 years’ experience leading direct reports and mentoring design teams
-
Visionary, inclusive leadership paired with fast-paced decision-making skills
-
Highly organized, exceptional project management skills, and proven abilities to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

Proven track record of innovating within large organizations
-
Experience designing for both customer and employee experiences
-
Experience working within a Marketing environment
-
Experience owning projects and being accountable for results
-
Excellent communication skills with ability to influence and build consensus
-
Expert facilitator of ideation sessions, co-creation workshops and design sprints
-
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
