We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, SEO Content Strategy to join our Content and Communications team in Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto.
Who you are:
As the Manager, SEO Content Strategy, you will lead our SEO content team in developing SEO-driven content strategies aimed at driving organic traffic, increasing conversions, and improving site visibility. You will guide the optimization of existing content and the creation of new, compelling SEO content. You will work closely with both the content and technical SEO teams, collaborating to execute strategies that enhance content performance and generate site traffic and leads for our business.
This role is ideal for someone who can combine a deep understanding of SEO principles with the ability to create and oversee content that generates leads, enhances user engagement, and aligns with the latest SEO trends, including AI’s influence on search engines.
What you'll work on:

SEO Content Strategy Development: Create and execute SEO-driven content strategies that support business goals, ensuring content is optimized for both search engines and user experience.

Prioritization & Impact: Identify and prioritize SEO initiatives that will have the greatest impact, using data to guide decisions. Focus on high-leverage content opportunities and be able to make clear, strategic bets that will drive long-term results.

Big Bold Bets: Develop and implement bold, high-impact content strategies that push the boundaries of SEO. Identify new opportunities to disrupt the market with innovative content initiatives that differentiate us from competitors.

Content Optimization: Oversee the optimization of website content, landing pages, blog posts, and other digital assets to increase organic search visibility and engagement.

Editorial Planning & Execution: Manage the editorial calendar, ensuring that content is consistently created and updated in line with SEO priorities and business objectives.

Lead Conversion Optimization: Collaborate with the conversion team to enhance content elements for improved lead generation and conversion rates.

Forecasting: Forecast lead performance based on SEO strategies and content initiatives.

AI Integration & SEO: Stay informed on developments impacting SEO, especially search engine algorithm updates and the adoption of AI in search, and implement recommendations to adapt content strategies accordingly.

Collaboration with SEO & Technical Teams: Work closely with the SEO technical team to ensure content is aligned with best practices in technical SEO, site structure, and performance.

Content Quality & Relevance: Ensure content is of the highest quality, answering user intent, engaging target audiences, and aligning with SEO goals.

SEO Performance Analysis & Reporting: Use SEO analytics tools to track content performance, measure KPIs like organic traffic, rankings, and conversions, and adjust strategies as needed.

Education & Knowledge Sharing: Educate the broader marketing team on SEO best practices, the role of content in SEO, and the evolving landscape of SEO, including AI’s influence on content visibility.

Continuous Optimization: Regularly review and refresh existing content to ensure it remains optimized, competitive, and aligned with the latest SEO trends and business needs.
What you may have:

Experience: At least 8 years of experience in SEO content strategy, SEO content creation, and content optimization, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

SEO Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SEO strategies, on-page optimization, keyword research and prioritization, technical SEO, and SEO content writing best practices.

Content Leadership: Proven ability to lead brand-aligned, high-quality content creation that resonates with a target audience, ensuring compelling storytelling while maintaining a focus on delivering strategic messaging and consistent brand voice across platforms.

Content Creation & Optimization: Proven ability to oversee content creation and optimize existing content to meet SEO goals, including blogs, landing pages, and other digital assets.

Lead & Conversion Strategy: Demonstrated experience in improving conversions through SEO content strategies and the ability to forecast and optimize lead conversion.

AI Knowledge: Strong understanding of how AI is impacting search engines, SEO content creation, and algorithm updates. Ability to adapt content strategies to these changes.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in SEO analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc., and a strong ability to interpret data to improve content performance.

Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical and content teams to implement strategies.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present SEO strategies and data-driven recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

The full salary range* for this role is $109,200 to $136,600 to $164,000 CAD.Please note salary bands may differ based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may differ depending on the employee's location.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
