Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Manager, People Operations, you will drive process excellence across the People & Culture (P&C) function. Reporting to the Senior Director, People Systems, Analytics, and Operations, you will lead efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness in global people processes while ensuring regional customization as needed. Your focus will be on optimizing, standardizing, and automating key processes to support our people and business strategies.
You will be instrumental in the design, execution, and continuous improvement of core people programs, including talent reviews and performance management. Your leadership will help create a seamless, high-impact employee experience by eliminating inefficiencies and driving operational excellence across Arc’teryx globally.
This role is based in our North Vancouver office with hybrid remote work options. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

The Global People Operations team provides Total Rewards, People Technology, People Analytics, People Operations, and Policy and Compliance services. We play a critical role in the success and scalability of the People and Culture function and enablement of the business. We partner with all aspects of the business to drive the continuous evolution of people and business practices. We seek to drive greater alignment, to develop and foster rapport, to create trust and maintain partnership throughout the organization.
If you were the Manager, People & Culture Operations now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Lead and optimize annual and cyclical people processes, including talent reviews, performance management, and compensation cycles.
- Evaluate and redesign core P&C processes for efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.
- Map, optimize, and automate P&C workflows to streamline operations and improve the employee experience.
- Develop standardized global HR processes, balancing consistency with necessary regional customization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with P&C, Finance, IT, and business leaders to align P&C processes with broader organizational goals.
- Work with the People Technology team to drive process improvements and automation.
- Monitor effectiveness and define performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.
- Facilitate process improvement workshops to promote best practices across the organization.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, partnering with P&C Compliance and Legal teams.
- Enhance self-service capabilities for employees and managers to drive efficiencies.
- Create and maintain process documentation and policies to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to HR processes, such as data privacy or human error.

- Conducting a process audit to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives.
- Implementing automation solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
- Designing and launching best-in-class employee lifecycle management processes.
- Scaling and customizing key people processes for global implementation.
Are you our next Manager, People Operations?
- 5–7 years of HR operations experience, including 1–3 years in a leadership role.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant field (HR, Business, Operations) or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in HR process optimization and operational efficiency.
- Experience managing annual and cyclical HR processes such as talent reviews and performance management.
- Familiarity with HR technology and automation tools to improve efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data insights for process improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A global mindset, balancing standardization with regional customization.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A passion for both your work and getting outside to live it.
