Manager, Marketing Operations
Role Summary
The Manager, Marketing Operations will serve as the backbone of the Marketing Operations function, ensuring seamless execution of marketing programs and optimal utilization of marketing technology. This role owns Marketo administration, drives marketing analytics and insights, and supports end-to-end program execution - from building emails and landing pages to creating, managing, and optimizing Marketo programs.
Key Responsibilities
Marketo Administration
- Own and administer the Marketo instance end-to-end, including governance, architecture, configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Design, build, and manage all core Marketo processes such as lead lifecycle, scoring, routing, nurtures, segmentation, and program templates.
- Ensure data hygiene, system integrity, compliance, and reliable data flow across Marketo, Salesforce, and integrated marketing technologies.
- Serve as the Marketo subject-matter expert, driving best practices, system optimization, and stakeholder enablement.
Marketing Analytics
- Develop, maintain, and deliver dashboards and reports that support monthly marketing reporting, including ABX program performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI measurement.
- Support ad-hoc marketing analytics needs by creating on-demand dashboards, reports, and insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Actively enable marketing, sales, and leadership stakeholders by sharing, explaining, and operationalizing dashboards and reports to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Partner closely with Sales Operations and IT teams on attribution modeling, data integrity, and performance analysis.
Program Execution
- Build, execute, and optimize end-to-end Marketo programs supporting ABX, demand generation, lifecycle, and other marketing initiatives, including emails, landing pages, forms, smart campaigns, and nurture workflows.
- Operationalize marketing programs within Marketo by managing program setup, channels, tagging, tokens, and campaign flows to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Ensure rigorous QA and flawless execution across all Marketo programs, including testing data flow, scoring, routing, and Salesforce sync behavior.
- Support ongoing marketing operations needs such as list uploads, segmentation, data updates, and campaign execution support as required.
Operational Excellence
- Act as the go-to expert for marketing technology, processes, and best practices
- Train and support marketing stakeholders to improve adoption, efficiency, and consistency
Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced proficiency in Marketo (Marketo Certified Expert preferred)
- Strong understanding of marketing analytics, KPIs, and attribution models
- Hands-on experience building assets and programs in Marketo
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and marketing automation integrations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional marketing technologies (e.g., Salesforce, Knak, Sitecore etc.)
- Knowledge of lead lifecycle management, scoring models, and funnel optimization
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, and Digital teams
