FOX Factory designs, engineers, manufactures and markets performance-defining products and systems for customers worldwide. Our premium brand, performance-defining products and systems are used primarily on bicycles, side-by-side vehicles, on-road vehicles with and without off-road capabilities, off-road vehicles and trucks, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, specialty vehicles and applications, motorcycles, and commercial trucks. Position Summary:

Manages an engineering team consisting of engineers and technicians as they develop, test, modify products and find solutions to technical problems. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of Engineering Department while efficiently utilizing team resources.
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Analyzes technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Assists in the establishment of engineering schedules and follows up performance against estimates.
  • Initiates cost reduction proposals from other sources, compiles appropriate information, makes recommendations for action, and checks on results obtained.
  • Supports the creation of department budgets and quarterly forecasts updates.
  • Ensures compliance of company policies, procedures, and objectives regarding processes and projects.
  • Works on or serves as a resource on projects requiring advanced knowledge of a particular field of specialization. In doing so, this role may fulfill the following responsibilities:
    • Determine feasibility of designs considering costs, time limitations, planning, and other technical and economic factors;
    • Support design of new parts and systems, or redesign of existing parts for improved performance, quality and manufacturability;
    • Analyze quality issues and test results for failure root causes and implement corrective actions;
    • Perform engineering calculations and analysis; as required.
  • Recruits employees; assigns, directs, and evaluates their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of their competencies.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Experience: 

5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

Compensation Range$112,657.00 - $158,875.20 CAD

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed above and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
