How you'll make an impact:

Our Commercial field sales professionals of Account Executives and Account Managers rely on proactive technical support during the sales process and our Presales team of Solution Consultants is there to assist. Our Boomi SCs follow a prescriptive technical sales cycle and engagement model, focusing on effectiveness and efficiency. Our SC team is viewed as and treated more than just a technical resource. Rather, our SCs are considered valuable partners throughout the sales journey and help to build trust with our stakeholders and prospects. They help provide presales technical support to our field sales teams throughout the sales process. This includes tasks such as account and prospect research, collaborative discovery and needs analysis, formulating a technical strategy and win-team, executing on that strategy through dynamic presentations, demos, product evaluations, etc. and ultimately getting the technical win. As a Presales leader supporting the Commercial business, you will work closely with your SC team, internal stakeholders and partners to ensure successful alignment to and achievement of company goals.

What you'll do:

  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the team and business
  • A strong focus on net new logo acquisition, both in regards to reducing the total time and total cost to acquire that customer
  • Hire and develop SC talent. As a leader at a rapidly growing company, manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce. Grows and develops team members through career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members
  • Knowledgeable of the business and industry; day-to-day work reflects understanding of Commercial and Inside Sales models and strategies that underpin Boomi’s product and services offerings
  • Crisp and practical Sales Cycle Management skills are a requirement. This starts with the ability to work with Regional Sales Directors to discuss opportunities and remediate concerns, extending through the skills and ability to provide meaningful and actionable guidance to direct reports, and including the ability to innovate, influence, and shape sales practices by applying previous customer examples and use cases to unique customer scenarios
  • Deeply skilled at Communication Management: gathers feedback from a wide variety of sources, incorporating ideas from multiple sources into clear and influential written and verbal communications, ultimately influencing change across the company. Comfortable with full range of audiences from direct reports to customers to ELT 
  • Develops and executes technical selling strategies and identifies opportunities for process improvements. Provides technical and market expertise to sales organization in selecting, implementing and developing competitive product applications and solutions
  • Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's and competitors' products and services
  • Use a variety of software tools and technologies to assist in the management of the team and support of the sales cycle. These include applications such as Gong to help asses, coach and uplevel team members as well as Consensus to build and manage a library of demos, walkthroughs and other customer-facing assets.

The experience you bring:

  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of sales and presales methodologies
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to align to business value
  • A passion for leadership, mentoring, and the professional development of others
  • The ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent analytical and procedural thinking skills
  • Experience with customers, or being in front of clients/prospects/customers; any role where you’re customer-facing and demonstrating exceptional soft skills
  • Proven ability to design and optimize business processes and ability to execute sales plans
  • Ability to pivot and change priorities and practices based on ongoing feedback and the direction of the organization
  • Ability to work independently but at the same time collaboratively within your team and cross functionally

Bonus points if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar education
  • 3+ years leadership experience preferred within pre-sales, services, training or other client-facing work in the software/technology space. (iPaaS, SaaS or PaaS preferred)
  • Experience working in the field as a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer or other related role
  • In depth knowledge of the Boomi platform and the overall competitive landscape

Compensation

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The On Target Earnings (OTE) ranges from $210,000 - $260,000 CAD annually (inclusive of commission). Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
