About the Role
The Manager, Business Operations plays a critical role in driving operational efficiency, improving internal processes, and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization. We ask that you are a hands-on independent contributor with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills who can bridge the gap between departments, create scalable solutions, support large-scale projects, and effectively help meet business objectives. You will be based in our New Jersey office reporting to Sr. Director, Business Operations.
You Will:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with Customer Service Department goals.
- Analyze operational performance and develop strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Legal, IT, etc.) to optimize internal processes.
- Support the execution of strategic projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Maintain business documentation; provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Create collateral such as presentations, scripts and communications for senior management.
- Identify operational risks and support mitigation plans.
- Standardize procedures and documentation to ensure consistency across teams.
- Support budget planning, forecasting, and vendor management.
- Drive change management and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
You Have:
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening), and leadership skills.
- Ability to understand, organize, and present complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to various audiences.
- Ability to take raw data and turn it into business insights and storytelling.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with competing resources and deadlines.
- Capability to working primarily as an independent contributor and are highly motivated.
- Ability to lead and work towards results with minimal direction.
- High-level understanding of Google Sheets/Excel and Google Slides/PowerPoint.
- Experience with presentation creation and public speaking.
- 5+ years of experience in business operations, project management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with process improvement and change management methodologies (preferred).
