What You'll Bring:
- Bachelors degree and 10+ years’ experience in banking experience specifically in credit card or retail banking.
- Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical skills.
- Data driven, highly organized with excellent people and project management skills.
- Experience in working across multiple internal teams to deliver results and complete projects with the ability to influence outcomes outside your direct team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey complex insights for business decision-making to senior leadership teams.
- Strong understanding of credit card & retail banking business profitability drivers and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and find ways to continuously improve quality of work base on observations and feedback from clients.
Impact You'll Make:
The Manager Banking & Payments Strategy acts as a key Leader on the Banking and Payments Canada team and is responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, leading internal teams working on analytic projects for those clients, and delivering the results of those projects directly to senior leaders at clients. The incumbent will partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders across global technology, data science analytics, and solutions. They will also interface externally with business leaders (director and above) across retail banking products including credit cards, personal lending, and retail banking. The Manager Banking & Payments Strategy will have the opportunity to lead day to day interactions with 7-9 Canadian financial institutions and deliver over 20 management presentations annually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with key senior client stakeholders to better understand their business challenges and communicate with them how we can address their challenges with unique analytics.
- Analyze tends in data to identify areas of opportunity or strength for client’s performance relative to benchmarks and the industry.
- Lead junior team members in analytic projects by translating client business challenges to requirements for internal project scopes.
- Prioritize work across clients and internal teams to effectively deliver quality results within timelines expected by clients .
- Lead and mentor a more junior analyst, providing guidance on project execution and knowledge of the industry.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
- Deliver insights to senior leadership teams at clients.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Improve on existing presentation by adding eternal knowledge and helping to elevate them for more executive audiences.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
