Set up and operate manual mills and lathes, produce high-quality components, conduct inspections, and participate in safety and improvement processes.
Produce high-quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect products to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of products in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Independently set up and operate multiple Manual Mills and Lathes, to produce high-quality components within tight tolerances
- Perform basic Preventive Maintenance on the Manual Mills
- Perform basic programming editing and modifications
- Interpret drawings and GD&T requirements
- Perform manual inspection on the machined parts
- Able to work with minimum supervision in a high paced production environment
- Adhere to manufacturing systems and procedures and work with regard to the safety of self and others
MUST-HAVES
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- General Machinist Certification
- 2-4 years experience in a high technology environment
WE VALUE
- Knowledge of SAP
- 3-5 years of experience using Manual/CNC equipment manufacturing high precision components
- Ability to set up and run 3,4 and 5 CNC milling machines.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and AS9100 requirements is an asset
