THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Legal team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for providing legal advice and advising on legal compliance and risk mitigation across all areas of Aritzia’s business. As the Senior Legal Counsel, Digital, you will support with identifying and addressing legal needs across our Digital Division, with a particular emphasis on ensuring compliance with U.S. consumer protection and privacy laws. THE ROLE

As the Senior Legal Counsel, Digital, you will:

  • Develop an integrated offensive and defensive legal strategy to drive and protect Aritzia’s Digital Division
  • Support the Digital Division’s business activities and transactions with third parties
  • Champion compliance with privacy laws across the Digital Division
  • Champion legal compliance across the Digital Division and drive positive outcomes in litigation

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Legal Counsel, Digital, has:

  • Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in commercial and privacy law.
    • Law Degree from a recognized university
    • License to practice law in the U.S.
    • A deep knowledge of applicable data privacy regulations and standards, including PIPEDA, PIPL, CCPA and GDPR
    • Privacy certification is an asset
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $150,000–$200,000 per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus.
