OUR STORY

Quince was started to challenge the existing idea that nice things should cost a lot. Our mission was simple: create an item of equal or greater quality than the leading luxury brands and sell them at a much lower price.

OUR VALUES

Customer First. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority.

High Quality. True quality is a combination of premium materials and high production standards that everyone can feel good about.

Essential design. We don’t chase trends, and we don’t sell everything.  We’re expert curators that find the very best and bring it to you at the lowest prices.

Always a better deal. Through innovation and real price transparency we want to offer the best deal to both our customers and our factory partners.

Environmentally and Socially conscious.  We’re committed to sustainable materials and sustainable production methods. That means a cleaner environment and fair wages for factory workers.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

Quince is a retail and technology company co-founded by a team that has extensive experience in retail, technology and building early stage companies. You’ll work with a team of world-class talent from Stanford GSB, Google, D.E. Shaw, Stitch Fix, Urban Outfitters, Wayfair, McKinsey, Nike etc.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the digital experience for our customers across both mobile applications and web platforms.

We are seeking an experienced Lead UX/UI Designer to join our small but mighty design team. In this high-impact role, you’ll have ownership over Quince’s digital experiences—ensuring every touchpoint across our e-commerce platform is intuitive, visually striking, and aligned with our brand. Your work will directly influence strategic decisions and drive measurable results.

If you’re a creative thinker with strong visual design sensibilities, an appreciation for user-centered product design, and a passion for thriving in a lean, fast-paced startup environment—this is your opportunity to deliver meaningful impact while shaping our digital future.

Responsibilities
  • Lead End-to-End Design: Own the UX/UI design process from concept through launch, ensuring an exceptional experience across web and mobile platforms.
  • Visual Design Excellence: Deliver compelling, high-fidelity visuals (wireframes, mockups, prototypes) that reflect Quince’s brand identity, leveraging typography, color, and layout effectively.
  • Competitive Research & User Insights: Own competitive research processes, synthesizing market trends and benchmarking best practices to inform design decisions. Leverage user insights to refine concepts, with experience conducting usability testing a plus.
  • Design System Ownership: Maintain a design system and component library, guaranteeing consistency and scalability across our digital products.
  • Collaborative Ideation: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to iterate on concepts, validate assumptions, and deliver data-informed solutions.
  • Innovation & Strategy: Advocate for user-centric design principles, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible to create innovative experiences that align with business goals.
  • Lean & Agile Environment: Embrace a startup mindset, rapidly iterating and experimenting while balancing speed with quality.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of UX/UI design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior-level capacity—preferably in e-commerce or consumer-facing digital products.
  • Design Mastery: Strong portfolio showcasing a command of visual design (typography, layout, color theory) and UX methodologies (user flows, wireframing, prototyping).
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in industry-standard tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite). Familiarity with motion design or HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • User-Centered Approach: Deep understanding of user research and usability testing methods to identify and resolve pain points.
  • Startup Mindset: Comfort operating in a lean environment—wearing multiple hats, iterating rapidly, and pivoting when necessary.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and rationale to team members and executives.
