The Role:

You will be responsible for the UX product design within S&P Ratings Technology. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to a design engagement. The candidate will also have extensive experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must 

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Conduct user experience research to understand customer needs, opportunities, and pain points.

  • Define and execute a user experience strategy that aligns with the business and product goals.

  • Understand industry trends to drive product design and innovation.

  • Collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders to understand their requirements, priorities, and constraints.

  • Serve as a bridge between the UX team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision for the new experience tailored to analysts.

  • Create and manage a product roadmap that reflects the user experience strategy.

  • Lead user research efforts, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gather insights and validate design decisions.

  • Develop mockups, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces that provide an intuitive and efficient experience for analysts.

  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.

  • Gather and review UX focused metrics and provide recommendations based on those metrics.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in the field of user experience design and interaction design/development.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction or related field

  • Experience in product design

  • Experience working across departments to define, manage, and prioritize work.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.

  • Experience designing large scale enterprise and workflow applications.

  • Experience creating wireframes, visual mockups, graphics, and user workflows.

  • Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies

  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to bring products to market.

  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility and performance

  • Good understanding of Mobile and responsive design

  • Passion for technology and design, and the drive to stay on top of industry trends and best practices.

  • Knowledge and/or experience with following technologies are a plus: CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Angular, React.
