Responsibilities:
Research & Development: gather requirements, discuss solutions with cross-functional teams, define clear specifications, coordinate or conduct the implementation into software, perform comprehensive testing, and create documentation and demos.
Customer Engagement: collaborate with key customers and partners to enable their success, understand their needs, drive adoption, address their challenges, and further enhance our products and solutions.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have strong expertise in photonic IC design and simulation.
Master’s or PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, or similar fields
3+ years in designing photonic ICs, through full design cycles (simulation, layout, tape-out, and measurement)
Experience in photonic circuit simulation, and ideally electronic-photonic co-simulation
Experience in photonic compact modeling, preferably using Verilog-A
Experience in photonic device simulation and parameter extraction Understanding of numerical simulation methods
Familiarity with electronic/photonic design automation (tools and workflows)
Programming in C++, Python, SKILL, etc.
Experience working with foundries, using or developing PDKs / custom libraries is a strong plus
Good communications skills and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
The annual salary range for British Columbia is 89,600 CAD to 166,400 CAD. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
