YOUR MISSION

About the Organisation & Role:

You will be part of the Consumer Experience Engineering organisation responsible for building fast, intuitive, accessible and premium digital experiences across web and mobile. The organisation owns the web & mobile platforms, engineering delivery for consumer-facing journeys, shared design systems, performance, accessibility and AI-native engineering practices that help product teams deliver consistent, reusable, high-quality consumer experiences across the globe.  

The Lead Quality Engineer is responsible for defining quality strategy, shaping test architecture, driving automation excellence and enabling high-quality, accessible, high-performing and reliable consumer-facing digital experiences across web and mobile platforms.

What you will do:

  • Define and drive quality engineering strategy aligned with product, engineering, and business goals.

  • Design and govern scalable test automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and end-to-end testing.

  • Establish risk-based testing approaches and quality processes across multiple product teams.

  • Drive quality planning, test strategy definition, and execution across the software delivery lifecycle.

  • Build and maintain automated regression, integration, API, and end-to-end test suites.

  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Architecture teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Drive accessibility validation and ensure compliance with WCAG standards across digital experiences.

  • Lead cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive experience testing for consumer-facing applications.

  • Define and execute web and mobile performance testing strategies to ensure premium user experiences.

  • Drive automated release validation and production readiness practices.

  • Analyse quality metrics, testing effectiveness, and defect trends to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering excellence, test efficiency, and product quality.

  • Support experimentation frameworks and validate A/B testing implementations where applicable.

YOUR TALENT
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or Test Automation Engineering.

  • Strong expertise in designing and scaling enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, and Appium.

  • Proven experience defining quality strategies, test architecture, and testing governance across multiple products or teams.

  • Extensive experience implementing risk-based testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.

  • Strong experience building and maintaining automated testing solutions across web, mobile, and API layers.

  • Expertise integrating quality engineering practices into modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x) and accessibility testing approaches.

  • Experience validating consumer experiences across browsers, devices, operating systems, and screen sizes.

  • Expertise in test metrics, quality analytics, defect management, and continuous quality improvement.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

  • Experience driving engineering excellence through automation, quality gates, and release governance.

  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing, intelligent regression testing or LLM powered quality engineering solutions.

  • Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer digital products is strongly preferred.

  • Experience validating experimentation platforms, feature flags, and A/B testing programs is a plus.
