About you

Are you a Junior Accountant seeking to advance your accounting capabilities and broaden your experience within a prominent publicly traded organization? Join us to further your skills and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of finance at our company.

This role is responsible for recording revenue transactions for the brokerage operations. This position also plays an important role to ensure revenues and commissions reported are following US GAAP and Internal Controls.

In this role, you will…

  • You will be successfully supporting the accounting team in fulfilling their mandate to complete month, quarter and year end processes on time and accurately.

  • Record transactions to report revenue and commission expenses

  • Prepare, review and analyze broker transactions for payments, as well as handle management of broker account recharge

  • Provide support to the branch offices on the use various Deal Tracking System and assist with day-to-day operational related inquiries.

  • Perform revenue testing on deal transactions

  • Review and reconcile accounts related to Revenue and commissions

  • Your role will involve aiding in the preparation of working papers for accruals, allocations, journal entries, and account reconciliations across various business units.

  • Additionally, you'll compile data for financial analysis, handle data entry and invoice issuance, and contribute to monthly accounts receivable reporting.

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ year of experience in an accounting position is preferred.

  • CPA student near completion of PEP, or equivalent.

  • Degree in Accounting.

  • A self-motivated individual with customer service orientation and ‘can do’ attitude.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pursuant to the laws regarding job postings where the position is located in, Colliers is disclosing the following information:

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $49,600.00 to $62,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
