About the Business Enterprise Systems Team

The Business Enterprise Systems (BES) team is a support and enablement organization that ensures the seamless operation of Wealthsimple’s enterprise systems. Our mission is to maximize the value of our internal tech stack by managing connectivity, integrations, and automation that power business operations with integrity, scalability, and security.

We act as the glue between people, processes, and technology — standardizing tools, enabling employees to self-serve, and driving operational excellence. Guided by principles of transparency, root-cause problem solving, and a “stack-first” mindset, BES empowers Finance, Procurement, HR, IT, and other departments to work smarter, faster, and with confidence.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Business Systems, and is part of the broader Security and IT function.

About the Systems Administrator:

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our growing Business Enterprise Systems (BES) team. In this role, you’ll be the hands-on steward of our core collaboration platforms, such as Slack, Notion, and DocuSign ensuring they run reliably, securely, and at scale. You will own day-to-day system administration, manage and resolve incoming requests, maintain configuration and governance standards, and partner closely with business and technical teams to ensure these tools effectively support how the company works.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys diving deep into SaaS platforms, learning new features, and continuously improving systems through thoughtful configuration and automation. As a key member of BES, you’ll help maximize the value of our collaboration technology stack, reduce operational friction, and ensure our tools evolve alongside the business.

What You Will Do:
  • Administer core collaboration systems (e.g.Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, DocuSign or other IT business applications) by owning the product development of these tools and managing the queue of requests.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to facilitate high-priority incident resolution.

  • Communicate clearly with requesters on status, timelines, and resolutions in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Identify recurring issues, inefficiencies, and manual processes through ticket trends and user feedback.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system usability, reliability, and data quality.

  • Explore automation and orchestration opportunities using tools like Workato or AI-assisted workflows to create end-to-end system flows.

  • Monitor and maintain system health, adoption and cost efficiency.

  • Support system implementations and enhancements by assisting with testing and validation, feature rollouts and upgrades, and in-house product development projects.

  • Partner with business teams to improve how systems support operational workflows and ensure tools are aligned with our security standards.

Who You Are:
  • 5 years of experience administering SaaS platforms (e.g.Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, DocuSign, or other IT business applications).

  • Experience working within an ITSM or ticket-based support model.

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and cross-system data flows.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
