We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time IT Operation Specialist Lvl 1 to join our IT team in Langley, BC.  

Reporting to the Manager, IT Operation, your primary responsibilities will include executing event, incident, and problem management processes to support our applications and IT infrastructure, as well as providing Helpdesk support during times of need.
You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and responding to alarms to ensure the protection and integrity of hardware, software, and business systems.

  • Monitoring and escalation of Refrigeration alarms.

  • Overseeing batch schedule monitoring and the execution of production batch jobs.

  • Building strong relationships and effective processes with internal and external teams to address operational concerns.

  • Resolving incidents and job failures by following documented procedures & collaborating with support teams and vendors ensure timely incident resolution within timeframes.

  • Performing scheduled maintenance, service requests and change Tasks as required.

  • Escalation of application issues and problems to key stakeholders, management, and development teams.

  • Covering the IT Helpdesk Support line between the Hours of 7pm through 9pm, providing technical troubleshooting of a wide range of in-house systems.

You have:

  • A college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in an IT Department.

  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.

  • Capability of creating and interpreting technical documentation for training and end-user procedures.

  • A certification like MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate), or one in Azure or Office 365 can indeed be a significant asset.

  • Knowledge of the following tools or platforms: Control-M, Nagios, VMWare Dell Open-Manage, Intermapper, LDAP, AD, Windows, UNIX, Cisco, Understanding of ITIL Practices, ServiceNow, Power Shell is an asset.

Compensation Details:

$66,292.00 - $82,865.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
