Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide system administration and end user support for the Plastcoat user community
• Ensure user community has the necessary skill sets to make effective use of the tools available to them
• Responsible for ensuring Plastcoat remains current with regards to software versions, system patches and Magna standards
• Provide support to user community, ensuring users have the tools they need to do their jobs, and that these tools are working effectively
• Ensure the smooth functioning of the network (workstations, file servers, email, etc.)
• Respond to shop floor when paged. Fix printer, scanner and computer issues
• Deploy new hardware as required (ie. Label printers, computers/tablets, scanners, etc)
• Contributes to a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
• Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
• Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF 16949 standards
• Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
• Participate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
• Ensure work area is kept neat and organized
• Perform other duties as required

EDUCATION:

• University student aspiring to work in the I.T. field

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with Microsoft Windows, MS Office Suite, and hardware troubleshooting

SKILLS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, networking technologies, office information systems, label printers, laser printers, desktops, laptops, Netapp and virtual infrastructure
• Knowledge of server computer technologies and relational database architectures (i.e. Windows Server, SQL Server, VMware)
• Knowledge of network cabling standards and architectures (cabling, switches, protocols etc.)
• Ability to lift 40lbs; required to deploy heavy label printers
• Required to possess mature, consistent attitude towards responsibilities of job position
• Familiar with manufacturing methods and systems
